Tequesta
Incorporated in 1957, the Village of Tequesta is a small, quaint waterfront community with a population of just over 6,000 residents. Home to many boutiques and galleries, Tequesta also boasts several local golf courses, including the Tequesta Country Club and Turtle Creek. Nearby ramps provide easy access to boating on the scenic, historic Loxahatchee River, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Atlantic Ocean. Locals and visitors enjoy snorkeling, shelling, and paddleboarding at Coral Cove Park, while the younger set have several parks to choose from, including a skate park.
Surrounded by water, The Village of Tequesta lends itself to world-class fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, surfing, turtle-watching, water skiing, and a multitude of casual waterfront dining venues. Just up the road, Jonathan Dickinson State Park offers a variety of natural habitats for hikers and campers.
With close proximity to the Palm Beach International Airport, Tequesta is easily accessible to visitors from around the world, and just a short drive via I-95 to West Palm Beach for downtown shopping and restaurants, as well as Broadway shows, ballet, and concerts at The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
